Şeyma Çınar was born in Istanbul in 1976. 

1998-2003  -  Started studying Tezhip Art (illumination) by taking lessons from Semih İrteş and Mamure Öz at Sema Nakışhanesi;
2001  -  Completed the Tezhip Art Turkish Traditional Decorative Arts courses program under the Ministry of Culture;
2004 - Studied Flower Painting and Miniature Art lessons from Orhan Dağlı at the Turkish Islamic Arts Library;
2005  -  Started teaching Tezhip Art lessons in her own atelier;
2009  -  Started Miniature Art Design lessons from Reza Hemmatirad at the Istanbul Design Center;
2010  -  Received the Intangible Cultural Heritage Carrier title and Traditional Turkish Arts  Approval and Artist Promotion Card from  the Ministry of Culture and Tourism;
2011  -  Contributed to the establishment of Sankad (Artist Women Platform), as a member of the board of directors of the platform, and also served as general secretary;
2004  -  present   - Organized many exhibitions within the scope of Exhibition and Project Coordination;
2014-2017  -  Taught Tezhip Art lessons at Üsküdar Youth Center;
2017  -  Started teaching Tezhip Art lessons at the Istanbul Design Center;
2020  -  Started teaching online Tezhip Art lessons in Turkish and English; 
2023  -  the AFAD Donation Exhibition was organized together with the Turkish Embassy in Doha, with the aim of donating 90 Tezhip art-works belonging to her and her students and donating the proceeds to families affected by the earthquake in Türkiye;

The artist's art-works were included in 5 personal and 50 group exhibitions. In addition, the artist, whose works have been published in many magazines and books, has Tezhip Art illustrations on various surfaces, such as: wood, edirnekari style, tile and porcelain designs. Her artworks have been obtained into private and public institutional collections.
Currently, Şeyma Çınar continues to teach  Tezhip Art in-person and online to her Turkish and English speaking groups of students at her own atelier  and at the Istanbul Design Center.
